This holiday is all about making money for me. Tried a few jobs and learnt quite a lot in this short period of time. First of all, I learnt that it's easy to find a job. But when it comes to finding a good one, it's extremely difficult. Firstly, classified ads are not meant to be trusted. The enticing pay promised on ads may not tally with what you would eventually get. It took me two interviews to learn this lesson. First, I went for an interview in this shop that sells wallets at harbourfront. The ads says "Sales assistant. Flexible hours. Basic pay of 1500 + commision". I thought this is a real catch. But when i reached the place and asked more about it, the employer told me that he would pay me 1500 plus commission if i manage to sell 25 wallets. Each wallet costs at least 25 bucks and they looked bloody fake. I thought to myself this whole thing is a fraud and there is no basic pay at all. I felt like pinching that tupid bloody man and asked him to be more truthful in the ads he posted. The second incident was when i went for the Starhub telemarketer interview. The ad said "earn 1200 to 1500 per month". The company is Starhub and i thought it shd be reliable. But in the end, it's still commission based, meaning if you sell zero products, you get nothing. Quite a few idiots were actually enticed by the commission and went for the whole training. I thought it's so stupid because nobody would actually make a decision to sign up for a hefty Starhub tv plan immediately after receiving a phone call. Most would just say "bye bye" and hang up. Even if they are interested, they would prolly discuss with their family first, meaning the telemarketers would not earn their commission. They would be merely advertising Starhub products, for FREE.
However it does not mean that companies that pay you a basic pay are worth working for as well. i worked for this company called Dolphine Warriors that sell health products. They pay their staff a small basic pay. The working hours are flexible. I began to wonder how this company makes money because there seemed to be no cap to how many salespeople they hire. It's only when i began working for a few days did i realise their strategy. They would ask all of their salespeople to target their relatives and friends and said that it's a hot market, meaning market that is bound to make money. This pissed me off coz it'd be like making money out of my own loved ones. Next they asked all their salespeople to write down all their relatives and friends contacts on a piece of paper which, they said, would help make our marketing more efficient. I had this bad feeling about it so I just made up all the contact nos myself. i even scribbled some hp numbers that started with 999 or 995 on it. Eventually as what i had predicted, they kept all the papers that we jotted our contacts down for "safekeeping". They would prolly sell the nos to other companies or use them for their own benefits. No wonder they claimed at first that they have their own way of getting clients. I quit the company the very next day coz i dun like they way they obtained those contacts without permission. But i do wish that they call those numbers that i scribbled.
But i felt so lucky that i have managed to find some reliable jobs that pay well in the end. I am now working night shift as a telemarketer in toapayoh. The pay is 7 bucks per hours excluding commision. Commision is quite easy to earn. But the job is kind of sian. I have also been doing surveys for a company. It's a job introduced by a friend. It allows me to earn quick bucks, 60 bucks per night sometimes. I am also working for my uncle in the day sometimes.
i shall tok more about my another interview when i am free agian.

Been suffering from a headache since sunday. Something seemed to be throbbing inside my head. Irritating. Felt better today after seeing doc. Hope that there is nothing growing inside.
Went to work today, selling uniform, at Balestier Hill Secondary. Small school it is, but somehow, it seems to evoke a sense of familiarity in me. It's so much like my small cosy primary school. The cleaners there are especially friendly and kept me company during the lonely hours of tending the stall. One even asked me to sleep for a while and said she would wake me up when there's someone at the stall.
Today is the fifth day from the start of new year. Days would get lonelier for me as most people get enlisted. Looks like it's time to do something meaningful and and put an end to my idling days.
